Success Stories

All of our past clients have reached a settlement with their School District prior to incurring the duress and expense of a full trial at the Office of Administrative Law.  Former clients include the families of :

  • an elementary student navigating the eligibility and evaluation process;

  • a middle school student with dyslexia unilaterally placed out of district by the parents at district expense;

  • an adult student with autism who successfully postponed graduation and was placed out of district to receive transitional services and post secondary education at district expense;

  • an elementary student whose parents privately paid for Orton Gillingham after school tutoring.  The District partially reimbursed the family for the privately paid services and paid the parents’ legal fees.

  • a high school senior whose request for evaluation was initially refused.  The parents reached a settlement in which the district paid for a full independent evaluation and reimbursed them for all out of pocket expenses.

  • A preschooler who is multiply handicapped and has autism successfully achieved stay put and a full independent educational evaluation and the parent’s legal fees paid for by the district.
